About the University of Aden
The university’s history page describes it as the first Yemeni public, non-profit university and says it was founded alongside Sana’a University.[1] Its first colleges were the Higher Education College (1970), Nasser College of Agricultural Sciences (1972) and the Faculty of Economics (1973), which first operated under the Ministry of Education. Law No. 22 of 10 September 1975 then established the university with legal personality.[1]
Wikipedia likewise gives 1970 as the year it started with the Sana’a University and 1975 as the formal statute, and names Alkhader Nasser Laswar as president.[4] Because sources date it either to 1970 or 1975, our table cell shows both.
